streusel breakfast cake**

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cups soft shortening
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

1 cup brown sugar
4 TBS flour
4 tsp cinnamon
4 TBS melted butter

Cream sugar, margarine and egg with mixer.  Stir in milk.  Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add to mixture.  Stir.  Grease 9 x 13” pan.  Stir streusel mixture together in small bowl.  Put 1 layer batter, then 1 layer streusel in pan.  Repeat.  Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.  Best served warm.  You can mix this up the night before, cover the pan, put in the fridge and bake in the morning.
